Melbourne storm damaged vehicles going to auction

The severe weather which hit Melbourne earlier this month left a $400 million trail of destruction, although every cloud has a silver lining with dozens of damaged cars to be sent to the auction block.

Pickles Auctions Sunshine is holding a Hail Affected Auction on behalf of a major car dealership with thousands of new late model cars to be sold - most well under their sticker price.

With some describing the storm as the most costly Australian natural disaster in 50 years, it will be a while before an opportunity like this one comes around again.

“Pickles have thousands of vehicles to sell as a result of the storms. In this particular auction, NONE of the vehicles are on any written off vehicle register and the vast majority have the manufacturer’s warranty included (excluding paint and panel)”, says Mark. “There has never been a better opportunity to buy.”

Potential interstate buyers can also get involved by bidding online, although Pickles does encourage an inspection before bidding to make sure you know what kind of condition the car is in.

The Hail Affected Vehicle Auction will take place at 3.00pm on Tuesday, 30 March at 41-45 McIntyre Road Sunshine, VIC.
