Audi RS5 Coupe Video
From BMW's M power, Mercedes-Benz's AMG or RS power from the likes of Audi - the German's certainly know how to make a performance car. All of us at CarAdvice love the Audi RS4 and Audi RS6 and last year we drove the ABT tuned Audi R8 and Audi S5. But now there is a new RS model about to hit showrooms. The Audi RS5.
Seen in the video above, the ultra-performance variant of the Audi A5 range is powered by a naturally aspirated 4.2-litre V8 making 331 kW and 430Nm of torque. This means a 0-100km/h time of just 4.6 seconds. It puts all the power down through all four wheels via the quattro AWD system.
The engine is mated to a 7-speed S Tronic transmission and can achieve a topspeed of 250km/h or if needed, 280km/h. Although blistering quick, the Audi RS5 uses 10.8L of fuel per 100km.
Prices in Europe will start €77,000 ($115,000 AUD) but Australia prices are still unknown. The new RS5 should arrive in Australia later this year.
