Morgan Plus 8 50th Anniversary Edition teased
Retro sports car to get throwback look in Geneva
The Morgan Plus 8 50th Anniversary Edition has been teased again, ahead of its official reveal at the Geneva motor show in March.
Scheduled for a March 6 reveal, the special edition celebrates the final 50 Plus 8s powered by a 4.8-litre BMW V8 engine.
Visible in the video are the blue lacquered exterior finish and hand-finished yellow accents on the front grille, engine cover and rear towing eyes. The colour scheme is reminiscent of the first production Morgan Plus 8 (known as MMC 11).
Over 6000 Plus 8s have been produced over the last half-century at the company's Pickersleigh Road facility in the UK.
According to Morgan, the BMW-powered Plus 8 can sprint from 0-100km/h in 4.5 seconds, on its way to a top speed of 250km/h.
