Mazda3 90th Anniversary model goes on sale in Japan

By Matt Brogan |

As part of the celebrations marking Mazda’s 90th Anniversary, Mazda has today released two 90th Anniversary Special Edition Axela Sport 1.5 S Style models in Japan.

Sold here as the popular Mazda3, the special edition Axela Sport is available in two grades. The first, known as the 15C, features extras including 15-alloy wheels, side skirts, LED tail-lamps and privacy (tinted) glass.

The upper-spec 16C adds 16-inch alloy wheels, HID headlights, a leather-wrapped steering wheel and gear knob, plus a 4.1-inch colour multi-function display with readouts for the car’s climate control, trip computer and audio systems.

The 90th Anniversary models are both eligible for the Japanese government’s 50 per cent eco-car tax reductions.

Mazda Australia has not yet announced any commemorative editions for local release.

We already have these cars here! They are called the Maxx and Maxx Sports! They both dont come with that front grill only the SP25 does

The max doesnt have side skirts, LED tail-lamps and the Maxx sports doesnt have HID headlights and climate control.

Pretty much the same apart from those features :) ohh and the 1.5L Stop start engines!
