MINI JCW World Championship 50 to appear at F1 Grand Prix

MINI will display its John Cooper Works World Championship 50 model (build #273) at this week's Formula 1 Australian Grand Prix in Melbourne.

As one of just ten cars slated for Australian delivery, and one of only 500 in the world, this exclusive 155kW race-bred MINI has already seen strong interest at a dealer level with a few customers already having made a deposit.

“This will be the first time the limited edition MINI John Cooper Works WC50 will be shown at a public event and what better place than at one of Australia’s premier motorsport events,” said Justin Hocevar National Manager MINI.

“The MINI WC50 represents the rich racing heritage of MINI and furthermore it celebrates the 50th Anniversary since Australia’s very own Sir Jack Brabham that drove the F1 Cooper to its first Formula 1 victory in 1959.”

The MINI John Cooper Works World Championship 50 will be on display in the MINI Challenge paddock at the Australian Formula 1 Grand Prix.

The Australian Formula 1 Grand Prix begins in Melbourne this Thursday, March 25.
