By Matt Brogan |

Subaru has today announced a “wheel deal” limited edition version of its popular Impreza RS hatch.

Featuring WRX-sourced alloy wheels and leather upholstery with red stitching, the special edition Impreza RS “wheel deal” hatch is available in four-speed automatic and five-speed manual variants and will be limited to a production run of 300 units only.

Like all models in the Subaru range, the Impreza RS offers a five-star ANCAP, front, side and curtain airbags, and ESC as standard equipment.

The “wheel deal” Impreza RS is available in WR blue, black and white and is priced from $29,980*.

*Pricing is a guide as recommended to us by the manufacturer and does not include dealer delivery, on-road or statutory charges.

Even more degrading the WRX model with this effort…

The phrase “lipstick on a pig” springs to mind. Honestly Subaru, did it have to be so ugly?

Is “Wheel Deal” meant to mean Real Deal? Or do they actually mean wheel deal? How much money does Subaru spend on marketing? Did someone with a degree come up with this?
If they are only going to do 300 of them then I would suggest making them available in one unique colour only to separate them and make it special.
Drop the wheel deal and call it “Subaru 300” or “RS 300” otherwise at first glance most will think they are just doing a deal, on wheels.

Like all models in the Subaru range, the Impreza is the ugliest car in its segment, both inside and outside.
