This is where many of these American Specialist Supercar builders (not every American based car so calm down) get it wrong. Building a supercar isn’t a matter of just making big power, you need to be able to use it.

There is no way that it will make it to a hundred in much under 3 seconds. I’d even predict the quarter mile would be too short for it to assert it’s tremendous power to weight ratio. It will run tens but that power to weight ration has the ‘potential’ to run 8s.. It’ll be fast outright but it will be a car for the salt flats and precious little else. It will be dangerous and unwieldy.

Also, if they’re using the supercharged 6.2litre as a base for 1300hp you’re going to be rebuilding the engine almost yearly at a ridiculous cost.

I think it incredible that they have no affiliation with Lotus and yet have the cheek to style there car so alike the elise.. If the car has any success Lotus would have strong grounds to knock on Hennesseys door..

I’ll believe that 0-100km/h time when I see it. And obviously I’m in the minority here, (and I’m gonna get lotsa thumbs-down) but the idea of a near 900kw, Elise based supercar doesn’t appeal to me. The thing about the Veyron that made it so different from supercars before it, was how it delivered it’s top speed so calmly, time and time again. When I hear about a 900kw light-weight, I don’t think ‘it must be so fast’, I think it will be ‘out of control and end up in a ditch’. I don’t think this will be a true competitor for the Veyron, only in top speed.
