2018 Hyundai Veloster teased… again

Just release it already, please

Hyundai has offered its clearest look yet at the upcoming second-generation Veloster, set to launch at the Detroit motor show later this month.

The asymmetrical hatch-coupe hybrid has been previewed in colourful camouflage, and snapped in a set of blurry spy shots, but the latest Korean teaser video provides a clear look at the car's profile.

Compared to the current car, the new model has edgier styling and a lower roofline, accentuated by the contrasting roof finish on the Turbo model pictured earlier in December.

The new Veloster range is expected to include a mid-spec Turbo model, along with a headline N version using the same 184kW/202kW four-cylinder engine as the i30N.

Like its oddball predecessor the car will feature just one rear door, something that endeared it to fans and free-thinkers but turned traditionalists off.
