Formula One Legend Stirling Moss recovering after dangerous fall

The all-time English racing legend Sir Stirling Moss is in good spirits after a dangerous fall down a lift shaft, which resulted in four broken bones in his foot and four chipped vertebrae.

Evidentially, the lift door was open when there was no lift to walk into, which meant a three-story fall down an empty lift shaft.

He described the accident as a "shunt" but miraculously, Sir Stirling is recovering well although he says, “I am not feeling great, but I am feeling better”

“Obviously I am going to take it easy, which is a bit of a bore. But I should be bouncing back as soon as I possibly can”

During his illustrious career he won 16 Grand Prix races, and is generally regarded as the best Formula One driver never to have won an F1 championship.

I met Stirling Moss at Le Mans last year, where we chatted about what it takes to win races and any tips he had on driving, and can assure you that he is an incredibly positive person and surprisingly generous with his time.

He came across as the sort of guy who never whinges about anything and just gets on with it.

We wish him a speedy recovery so he can continue to attend special events around the world, which are an inspiration to thousands.
