you’ll find the xw will turn more heads than just about any other aussie car!

they may not be up to todays standards, but back then NOTHING came close!

unfortunately when ford designed the EL gt, it was more about luxury than all out performance.

BUT i LOVE the agressive front end, and its individuality. You know nothing else looks like it.

id love one in that burgundy they came out in!

leather, electrics, wood ( plastic ) grain, and factory alpine audio! nice

You’re right, they were supercharged but they weren’t all V8′s.
They did the same package for the 6cyl, including a supercharger.

I knew a Lebo who lives in Loch St Coburg who worked for Ford in ’97 who knew about the EL GT returning and he has ELGT plates on his ZL Fairmont. He still has em.
The car was proven to be a piece of 5hit. An XR6 ute was faster.

It might just be my memory but I thought the original AMHO (Alan Moffit HO)had a supercharged 5 Lt. I remember the articles in Ford muscle, and thought they looked the shizza in Cobalt Blue, that and the fact I thought they had finally made a modern Falcon with some serious grunt (for the time anyway), even though it wasn\’t a factory Ford.

They have devalued that is for sure, but it wouldn’t surprise me if in twenty years time their value started to rise significantly.

The EB GT (which it isnt) would be lucky to get 10K.

The EL GT on the other hand should fetch more.
Ill take the EL over the other 2 anyday, but it looks heaps better in burgandy.
Depends on the condition of the EL, But I would say its worth towards 40K if its reasonable.

Now you have brought this to our attention Matt, I sure hope you can back it up with results….

Agree,the front spoiler is too high off the ground and turned up at the bottom thats why it doesn’t look right and the jail bar grill and bonnet detail look crap.No wonder these lost value,if they would have change th grill PO that bonnet detail and lower and turn down the front spoiler it would look good
