Hyundai Vaccar Tucson Sport concept revealed for SEMA

Based on the popular Tucson SUV, the Vaccar Sport version features an array of design, powertrain, infotainment and suspension enhancements to make it more than capable of carving B-roads after finishing the daily school run.

Hyundai has revealed the Vaccar Tucson Sport concept ahead of its debut at the 2017 SEMA show later this month.

"The Vaccar Tucson Sport Concept takes the Tucson far beyond its OEM roots without sacrificing reliability," said Aaron Vaccar, president of Vaccar.

"By building upon the well-developed Tucson platform, powertrain and design, we’ve given enthusiasts a vision of just where this affordable crossover aspires to go."

Upgrades include a turbo kit, Magnaflow performance mufflers and stainless builder kit, 20-inch Concept One forged alloy wheels with 255/35 Continental ExtremeContact tyres, upgraded Vaccar-Power brakes front and rear, Vaccar-Gecko G-Street coilover suspension, a Vaccar body kit, and a special metallic blue exterior paint finish with contrasting silver elements.

Inside, the Vaccar Tucson Sport concept gets an Ice Grey leather cabin courtesy of Katzkin with contrasting blue stitching, a 9.0-inch Vaccar WiFi head unit powered by an Android operating system, along with dual 9.0-inch LCD displays for rear passengers.

There's also a 12-inch Picasso subwoofer, 6.5-inch two-way component sets, and a Nano 520W Class D four-channel amplifier.

Las Vegas's 2017 SEMA show commences on October 31.
