Mini Countryman finally revealed – Geneva 2010

After months of anticipation and countless spy photos, Mini has taken the wraps off its latest creation - the Countryman.

Using Mini's first all-wheel-drive system, ALL4 combines with the Countryman's 4m length to provide a vehicle capable of multiple terrain changes.

The four-door, four-seater Mini will be available with a variety of three petrol and two diesel engines. The One Countryman will pump out 72kW from a four-cylinder petrol engine, while the Cooper Countryman will be powered by a 90kW four-cylinder petrol engine. The Cooper S Countryman will fire out of the blocks with a turbocharged, 1.6-litre 135kW petrol engine.

On the diesel front, the 82kW four-cylinder diesel will be called the Cooper D Countryman, while the slightly more frugal 66kW will be called the One D Countryman.

The Mini Countryman meets Euro5 emissions, paving its way to a permanent future for the German manufacturer.
