The highly anticipated Land Rover LRX, as first seen at the 2008 Detroit Motor Show, will begin production in quarter three of 2011.

Land Rover has officially announced the LRX’s production dates today as the production version of the SUV prepares for its debut appearance at this year’s Paris Motor Show.

At this point pricing and complete specification details are yet to be announced, though it is expected that forced-induction four-cylinder petrol and diesel offerings will be made, most likely with stop-start technology – as seen on Land Rover Freelander 2 TD4.

CarAdvice will keep you posted on any details as they come to hand.

mmm…Not sure what this car is trying to be? Is it a metro-suv? I don’t see the point of driving this car. It is similar to the BMW Crossover.

    Can someone enlighten me?

This is just my observations from what ive heard, but i think it is their answer to the unasked BMW X6 question. They saw the success and tried something for themselves, and customer reaction was through the roof.

Every time I see a land rover on the road with tint or rims on it i think either a wana be drug-dealer is driving it or a murderer. And if I see a normal one its a soccer mum who married a rich guy and has neva worked a day in her life and cant park the thinh anywhere. I agree with the other guys but…..why?
