Toyota C-HR ‘Hy-Power’ concept teased ahead of Frankfurt reveal
Toyota has teased the C-HR Hy-Power concept ahead of its reveal at the Frankfurt motor show next week.
A single image released by the Japanese manufacturer shows a partial shot of the front of the car, which very closely resembles the production model.
The company has labelled it as a "design study", and the vehicle has been created by Toyota's European Design Centre.
In the accompanying release, Toyota says of the concept: "It is designed to emphasise C-HR's emotional and powerful look, while hinting at future expansion of Toyota's hybrid powertrain line-up within its core models".

While that doesn't confirm a whole lot, it does indicate that the company could be developing a more powerful version of its popular petrol-hybrid setup.
The C-HR crossover is available globally with two powertrain options; a 85kW/185Nm 1.2-litre turbo petrol, and the 1.8-litre petrol-hybrid combo which pumps out 90kW - Toyota doesn't quote a combined torque figure, but the petrol engine and electric motor develop 142Nm and 163Nm respectively.
Australia only gets the turbo petrol version, though some markets like the UK offer the choice of both.
