Porsche Panamera V6 joins the four-door range
In a bid to compete at a lower price point, and to meet increasingly strict emissions standards, Porsche has announced today that it plans to introduce two V6-powered versions of its sporty four-door Panamera model at April's Beijing Motor Show.
To be offered in rear- and all-wheel drive variants, the Panamera V6 will feature a 3.6-litre direct injection petrol engine developing 224kW of power and 400Nm of torque.
The six-cylinder unit will be mated exclusively to Porsche's seven-speed dual-clutch transmission and will also feature Stop-Start technology to reduce the combined avarage fuel consumption figure to around 9.4L/100km for the rear-wheel drive model and 9.8L/100km for the all-wheeler.
The lower-emissions powertrain also helps the Panamera V6 achieve LEV standards.
Further specification and pricing information will be released closer to the Panamera V6 launch later this year.
