Ford Ranger scores minor feature updates, on sale now

Ford has announced a handful of minor updates for its Ranger ute range, available now.

Headlining the changes is the availability of black leather-accented seats ($1650) with leather door trim inserts for all 4x2 and 4x4 XLT Double Cab variants, while the external temperature display previously reserved for the XLT and Wildtrak is now standard on all versions bar the XL Plus grade.

Additionally, Wildtrak models get seat trim more resistant to staining and soiling, while the seats themselves will get less piping and a shorter front cushion overhang to improve occupant comfort.

Other updates include cupholders with 'secure fingers' inside to better secure bottles and cups, while XLS variants will have their outer tie-down hooks removed for a "sleeker appearance".

The updated Ford Ranger is available to order now, with no changes to pricing; starting at $27,690 for the XL 4x2 cab chassis and climbing to $61,790 for the flagship Wildtrak 4x4 double cab (all pricing excludes on-road costs).
