Audi Australia sets sales record in January

Audi Australia has joined the group of imported brands making a strong start to 2010 by setting an all-time record for new car sales in January.

The 1328 sales result in January 2010 represents a 23 percent increase over January 2009, which itself was 20 percent better than 2008.

The record officially marks the 61st month of growth for Audi Australia, and the Germans are showing no signs of slowing down.

The Audi A5 Sportback will be launched this month along with the A4 2.0 TDI e – the latest in the company’s range of efficiency models – with fuel consumption of 4.8 litres/100km.

Audi is also introducing Stop/Start technology for the first time in Australia in February, with the A4 and A5 to be among the first to sport the fuel saving feature.
