2017 Renault Megane hatch upgrades announced for Australia

The 2017 Renault Megane hatch has been bolstered with equipment and option upgrades this week, coinciding with the launch of the new sedan and wagon versions of the company's small car.

Both the entry-level Life and mid-spec Zen variants are now available with the Advanced Driver Assist System (ADAS) package as a factory-fitted option ($700), which includes autonomous emergency braking (AEB), lane departure warning and automatic high beam.

The sporty-styled Megane GT-Line and GT warm hatch gets the ADAS pack as standard equipment, along with distance warning and adaptive cruise control. Other additions to the GT-Line and GT include the 8.7-inch portrait-style R-Link 2 infotainment system - which was previously optional.

Justin Hocevar, managing director for Renault Australia, said: "The Megane hatch, which has very recently been joined by new wagon and sedan variants, has now received specification upgrades to the range that further enhances its appeal and offers our customers even more value for money”.

Prices for the updated range otherwise remain unchanged for the new model-year, and are available to order now.

Note: 2016 model shown, although the Megane hatch is unchanged visually for these new specification-only updates.
