Incorrect, there was an Australian Recall in 2008 regarding possible damage to the joint of the handbrake arm, over time the joint could snap rendering the handbrake useless.

It is a good step to take. When so many accidents are happening the manufacturers should rectify the defects before releasing it out in the public. It will also add credibility to the Honda name.

well IMO it's not honda's fault we all know that there is no such thing as perfect car or system, no matter how good the car is there are still some problems that may occur. CONDOLENCE to the family of the Child.

the jazz's generally ARE a good thing. its a switch thats faulty. and as far as i know, the first? recall for jazz since its release in 2002.

my 2002 model has had the shit thrashed out of it and is still a great car.

although honda ignored my emails about the faulty air cond compressor ( clutch fell off it with around 50 thou kays on it ) but as it was over 3 years old they obviously ignored me.

at $2500 for a new air cond compressor, i was a little annoyed. Second hand one cost me $450 luckily!

this might be off topic but i wonder where all these recalled cars were made in. with toyota and honda trying to increase their profit margin their cars are now made in many different countries apart from japan. the cars might be using exactly the same parts but surely the quality of the car overall are not exactly the same between ones made in japan and ones made in say thailand.
