I like this Lexus. Good size, quality all around, 0-100 in 5.9 sec which is VERY GOOD. 5-10 years ago I would only buy Mercedes,BMW or Audi today….Lexus, Honda or Toyota. German cars in this country overpriced, service cost very high and quality dropped. Keep up the good work Lexus.

Do the same search on used Audi BMW MERC or Jag and its the same if not less. Factor in the silly servicing prices the Euros, the inconsistant reliability and the stupid option pricing and the Lexus just makes more sense. I agree with everyone else on the styling though. ‘Tis bland.

Like all Toyota’s , do we need to ask if the brakes work and is this vehicle subject to a recall?.
Toyota has allegedly sat on a cover up for a decade and murdered up to fifty people in the process.

I thought about one of these but wondered whether you get brakes and an accelerator that actually work ? or are those the items you need to option in from the options list LOL.

Anyway lets get real, 0-100 in a “claimed” 5.9 seconds isn’t weapons grade by any realistic stretch of the imagination and judging by Lexus’ previous extremly optimistic performance claims that probably really means mid six second range when reality collides with Lexus “fantasy”.

Ended up with a new FPV F6, now that really is fast !! and the brakes and throttle actually work !!

I think they all lose 20 – 30% per annum the first few years, then level off after that. Between higher lease/hp rates for used, warranty running out, more tricks and treats in new models, also the incentive which was pushing new, it is pretty hard to sell something 2 – 3 years old for more than half. Maybe moreso if you are worried about having to pay for new batteries in these hybrids. I’d have thought $65K for a 3 year old Lexus would be doing pretty well. I’d have thought $50K for a 3 year old $120K car would be doing OK. What’s on carsales or redbook and what people get are two very different things.

Looking on carsales, all but one are in the high 70s and 80s thousand range, which isn’t too bad. Perhaps this particular seller is after a quick sale?
