Yeah a few days back I went around an off-camber corner a little too fast and felt a bit of a shudder as the ABS kicked in. It was very subtle.

The traction control reduces wheelspin going around tight corners or when taking off. It's hardly noticable, makes the car feel a little sluggish in the wet.

As for overcompensating, if you're used to pushing the old model to the limit you should probably be careful on the first few runs... Understeering is greatly reduced.

Anyone been in a position where their Mazda 3 kicked in with DSC and or Traction Control? They sound good but is there a danger of driver overcompensating in those tricky few seconds???
