With the current Swift starting to show its age, Japanese giant Suzuki is hard at work on the next generation Swift. This morning we received the first photos of the next generation 3-door undergoing cold weather testing.

Although nothing is confirmed yet, the new Suzuki Swift will have a range of both petrol and diesel engines (internationally) with the possibility of a hybrid variant coming as well.

The Swift Sport will continue to sit at the top of the range, although some reports suggest that Suzuki may be working an all-wheel-drive version of the little hot hatch as well.

Suzuki Australia will this week re-launch the Liana and an updated SX4 range.

Baddass, its not a re-launch of the liana, just a re-launch of the name,]

the liana looked ( and drove ) like a half compacted vk commodore. Tall thin gumby unstable looking lump with tiny wheels.

this is not a good idea mr suzuki!

Hmm, I wonder if the Swift will get 1.2T engines, DSG, 1.6 diesel engine, and the Swift Sport a 1.4 Twincharged unit………

But then, VW wouldn’t want to kill the Polo off

    @ t

You evidently haven’t driven a decent VK Commodore.

Looking forward to the new Swift Sport though, let’s hope it cracks 100kW. If it does, I’ll seriously consider it as my next city runabout.
