2008 Saab Turbo X
September 10, 2007 by Alborz Fallah
On a quest to reinvent it self, Saab has been working on some exquisite models lately, the latest is the new and special edition Saab Turbo X.
Set for display at this week’s Frankfurt Motorshow, the Turbo X is shaping up to be one hell of a car.
Powered by a tuned version of Saab’s 2.8-liter V6 Turbo, the X produces 209kW and 400Nm, giving it enough grunt to go from 0-100 km/h in just 5.7 seconds!
The Trollhättan based Swedish company has employed it’s new XWD system for the X, meaning the car is capable of not only balancing power to the front and rear, but also from side to side!
Saab is so confident in the XWD system that the company has admitted beating even the Porsche 911 Turbo is slalom testing!
The X will be equipped with special edition 19-inch wheels and a unique interior. Being a true sports car, the Turbo X will only be offered with a manual transmission.
Only 2,000 units will be made, which will guarantee the Turbo X a cult status for Saab lovers worldwide. Sales begin early next year.
Thanks to Trollhattan Saab for sharing.

What happened to the SAAB Aero dash?
This dash doesn’t do justice to a sports car, let alone a Saab
Yeah its pretty plain reckless. Sounds like it’ll go well, but I think the back end looks too fussy.
Seems they’ve had the same dash for 20 odd years – boring, same with most of their styling. Sure the car goes well, the technology is excellent, and sure it’s a SAAB but c’mon, get with the times or get left behind.
