i’ve never been a 4WD fan but having taken a cayenne GTS for a test drive on the weekend i can honestly say that it is AWESOME. the V8 has plenty of poke (4.8L 405hp!), is comforable in comfort mode and the handling is better than most “sports” cars in sport mode, the leather/alcantara interior is great and the exhaust note is pure sex…sounds like an aston martin!!!

hey I just test drove one the other day a 4.7L in black
the dash was like a Swiss watch and the insides very nice
needed more go tho -im looking at the turbo for sure

I find it hard to think of anyone who would buy this. The only thing that comes to mind is a porsche enthusiast thats looking for a practical car. For $155k+ theres so much better you could do. Not to mention any option that is chosen on top of that price is a blatent rip off.

Porsche make beautiful cars, unfortunately the cayenne isnt one of them.

It’s not quite a Porsche. It shares the same platform with the VW Touareg and Audi Q7. Looks? There are many others that are much prettier. Off-road ability? Even the tiny Suzuki Jimny did better. Performance? I’d wait for an M version of the X5.

Like the Q7, the Cayenne’s design is not quite what Porsche would have wanted. The facelifted version was a bit better but still won’t win any beauty contest.

Yes, there are worse looking cars out there, but I just wanted to point out had bad the interior looked. Paul, I agree, I actually quite like the look of these in Black.

I think that colour doesnt do it any justice, black is the only colour that should be offered on these SUV porsches… in which case that large front grille isnt as noticable. But yeah the interior is hideous for a car with its pricetag.

The only thing uglier than this car is it’s interior! I think it’s hideous! For the sake of those who will fork out $170k for one of these, I hope it looks better in the flesh.

This car makes no sense — why would you lower a SUV? Makes as much sense as putting a lift-kit on a Lotus Elise.
