Honda HSV-010 GT race car launched in UK
Honda has today introduced its HSV-010 GT, which will compete in the GT500 class of the UK's 2010 Super GT Series.
The Honda HSV-010 GT tips the scales at just over 1,100kg and is powered by a liquid-cooled, naturally aspirated, longitudinally mounted V8 engine developing "around 409kW and 392Nm" dubbed the HR10EG.
The 3.4-litre unit features a DOHC arrangement lifting two valves per cylinder, a dry sump lubrication system and Honda's PGM-FI fuel injection system. Gearshifts are operated by steering wheel-mounted paddle shifts.
Oh and in case you're wondering about the 'HSV' part, it stands for Honda Sports Velocity.
