Bugatti’s Niniette 66 is for when your Chiron runs out of road

Bugatti has revealed a yacht inspired by its Chiron hypercar, crafted together with boatbuilder Palmer Johnson: the Niniette 66.

The name is derived from a speedboat of the same name produced by Bugatti in 1930, with Niniette being the nickname of founder Ettore Bugatti's youngest daughter.

Measuring 20m long, the Niniette 66 features a number of design elements clearly inspired by the hypercar, including the (fittingly) wave-like designs on the sides, and the two-tone colour scheme.

Another feature reminiscent of the Chiron is the option of having sections of the carbon-fibre hull exposed to show the weave.

Inside, the yacht features lashings of leather, marble, and carbon-fibre, while the decking is available in various types of wood. There's also plenty of comfort features like an on-board spa, fireplace, champagne bar and a  double bed.

Powering the Niniette 66 is a 16.2-litre V8 engine sourced from truck company MAN - which, like Bugatti, is owned by Volkswagen - generating 1000 horsepower, or 746kW. Top speed is rated at 44 knots or just over 50mph (80km/h).

Buyers can also opt for a more powerful 1200hp (895kW) version of the same engine, which can propel the Bugatti yacht to 48 knots, or around 55mph (89km/h).

Like the Chiron, the Niniette 66 claims the world title for the world's fastest vehicle of its type.

The ultra-fast and ultra-exclusive yacht is limited to just 66 units, hence the name. Price will be given only on request, and doubtless not without some amount of interrogation.

For those unable to get their hands on a Bugatti yacht, there are a number of luxury aquatic products made by automotive manufacturers, ranging from Lexus and Mercedes-Benz to Aston Martin.
