2011 Mercedes-Benz SL-Class spy photos
Our spy photographers have this morning sent through these images of the upcoming Mercedes-Benz SL-Class winter testing in Scandanavia.
The email accompanying the pics perhaps best describing just what "cold weather testing" really entails:
Good morning Guys,
Here some fresh photos of the new Mercedes SL during winter testing in northen Scandinavia.
Todays temperature - 23 C.
All the best, Andreas.
The 2011 Mercedes-Benz, though heavily camouflaged (or is that armoured), shows the big coupe retaining its long bonnet and wide stance. The front fascia appears to be more upright while the grille appears reminiscent of the new SLS. It is framed by new projector-style headlamps.
Other updates appear to include new taillights, which are now flattened and stretched to make the car appear wider, plus new vents in front of the doors.
With the SL-Class already receiving an update back in 2008, it is unknown at this point just when this version will hit the roads, though we expect sometime in late 2011. CarAdvice will keep you posted.
