Warranty Complaint:

I organized to have two minor defects (one being a crack in the rear door handle the other being a fault with the cd player)rectified at the same time as the thirty km service, neither fault looked at. Time was given to allow for the parts to be ordered and I was not notified that the part hadn`t
arrived, the fault with the CD player is intermitant and more noticable with vibration on the move I do not believe this was even looked at.While I am very pleased the the SUZUKI and will replace this unit with another after the shoddy treatment by ZUPPS of Browns Plains I will purchase an be serviced elswhere.

Has anyone had any problems with the electrics in their xl7 ?
I have been to a Genuine Suzuki repair shop and dealer 5 times, and all they replace is the batteries in the keyless entry. As soon as I try to use the remote keys neither of them work, or they work only sometimes. My right side door does not beep anymore when left open, and the warning beep when you leave the lights on doesnt work anymore either. My warranty is up on the 18th of May and they keep messing me around. Obviously its an electrical problem, and because there is no money in it for them because its a warranty job, I really dont think they are going to fix it ! Has anyone got any ideas on how I can fix them !!! Its driving me nuts and its obviously just a joke to them.

I have a 2005 Suzuki XL7, has anyone tried converting it over to gas?
I can’t believe we only get 420klm per tank on a trip.
    That’s from a 70 litre tank?
Surely a 2.7 V6 should attract better fuel economy than this?
I am now looking at replacing the fan with an elecrtic fan together with adding cruise control.
    Great car, poor economy.

I am interested in having our XL7 modified to take gas as well.If anybody has done this please let us know where the tank was bolted on please. Economy has not been that bad with us. It has a 66 litre tank not 70 litre and you should be getting better economy than you state. Ours is around 13litres/100km, but that is not in peak hour traffic.

I’ve converted my 2004 XL-7 over to twin electric thermofans. The economy so far hasn’t improved much, but there is a noticeable power increase. I average around 14 l/100km in suburban driving with the five spd auto.

It’s a bit of fuel but I don’t exactly drive it slowly a lot of the time!

Just like to let Julie know, i myself work for a suzuki dealer, and we do get payed for warranty work we loved it at our dealership, we bill suzuki, we know we’ll get payed, I myself havent had much to do with the xl7’s so cant shed any light on your problem, the door not beeping when left open sound like the sensor/door switch, which i imagin any dealer should be able to pick up using there scantool and datalogger, maybe try taking it to another dealership,
