2006 Ford BF Falcon XR8 Ute Warranty Complaint

Warranty Complaint:
Drove ute home from compass ford but didnt like the way it pulled to the right the next day i rang up and complained and we decided to have allignment checked at 3000k new car check up. Took ute back at 3000k and wheel alignment was done. Drove back home 100ks but still the same,Had another allignment still the same,Took car back again and some sort of kit was fitted to front end. Drove car home and nothing has changed.
I then complained to Ford customer service who said to try another Ford dealer so i booked it in to Muir Ford Manjimup they checked it out and said it was unallignable and a kit had to be fitted, I took car home again and waited for kit to arrive,took back and had kit fitted. The allignment was then a bit better but car very light and wandery on uneven surfaces.I took it back again and they said it was out of their expertise and to take it to a FPV dealer. I took it to Geograph Ford who took it for a drive around the block and said it was ok but tyres are all cut out and need replacing and Ford wont cover it even thou its been back about 8 times and iv complained since brand new.

Verry strange, Ive not herd about that problem before. May be you might have to trade it in for another one.
If I had that problem, I whold change the sterring rack and the front suspention to the ute.
And Me u think that holden just has warranty compaints and not ford!

No its just the way in some articles u go on about holden compliants but not ford
Anyone else with XR8 piston smashing probs? Mine cactus @92000km. Ford customer resistance won’t help. Appears to be a “known” issue??

still in queue @ ford forums but have a go for me while I wait. This is a VERY expensive problem & everyone needs to know if there is potentially a manufacturyng or design fault. Have heard a few stories so far …..scarey! K
Kallum over the last four years of my close association with Ford I have NEVE run across that problem. The closest I’ve seen is valve seat damage on a car that has (by the computer check) had a really tough life since it’s second owner took it on.
Have had two second hand reports of similar so far. K
SO what caused it Kallum ? Detonation ? I thought the BFs had knock sensors.What type of fuel were you running in it ?
Same fuel for last 70000km !!!! Not any sort of warning. Cruising to Bris. on cruise control, a metallic bang and then no power … that fast! K
