Honda City facelift revealed for India, not for Oz

The facelifted Honda City has made its debut for the Indian market, sporting a new look, more technology and a more premium interior.

Compared to the model sold here, the Indian-market City features a new design at the front which includes revised headlights with integrated LED daytime-running lights, a refreshed bumper design and new chrome trim that runs through the front grille between the headlights.

At the rear there's a new bumper, while higher-spec models gain LED tail-lights and a lip spoiler on the bootlid. New alloy wheels fill the arches too.

Inside, the updated City is available with a new 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with satellite navigation, bluetooth and MirrorLink compatibility, along with a Wi-Fi hotspot, HDMI input and 1.5GB of internal memory.

For the Indian market, the Jazz-based sedan is offered with an 87kW/145Nm 1.5-litre petrol mated to a five-speed manual or continuously-variable transmission (CVT), along with a 1.5-litre turbo-diesel pumping out 73kW of power and 200Nm of torque.

Australia

Honda's local arm says the Indian-market City isn't sourced from the same factory as Australian models, and couldn't give any details on the likelihood of the facelifted model making it Down Under.
