V10 Powered Lexus To Rival M5
September 3, 2007 by George Skentzos
Rumours have arisen speculating that the V10 slated for the Lexus LF-A supercar could also make its way into the Lexus GS-F.
Whilst the GS-F has not yet been confirmed for production by Lexus, it seems only likely as it would be a viable competitor to the BMW M5, Audi RS6 and Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG.
The V10 GS-F should take its styling cues from the current V8 powered Lexus IS-F, along with the transmission which is rumoured to be the eight-speed automatic from the LS 460, modified to allow full manual mode via paddles and ultrafast shifts.
If approved, expect the V10 powered GS-F to land sometime after the Lexus GS which is set for a 2011 release.

goddam
it seems the japs are hell bent on trying to up one on the germans. Its not a civil war in germany now with automakers, its becoming an international arms race!
lexus are doing well but something tells me the germs arent going to take second best for a while yet.
guess its win win for consumers though!
Nice, but still rather the new HSV stuffed full of 7L Corvette US muscle
300km/h sedan if they let it run to its max
Cheers

Based on looks alone I would go for the lexus instead of the M5. That is if I was in the market for a V10 Luxury Barge.
However; as Ford has shown you don’t need a huge engine to get high performance figures. The next F6 Typhoon will produce 300Kw.. with a few after market modifications [performance chip, intake and exhaust etc] you could possibly reach 360Kw maybe more.
Then there’s CAPAs Supercharged 1000Kw V8 drift ute
Or, if you want impeccable quality, refinement and performance as a package, you could have the Lexus instead.
Oh God another thats meant to rival a M badge !
