Maserati GranCabrio set to open new Sydney dealership

By Matt Brogan |

The Maserati GranCabrio will make its Australian debut in Sydney on 3 February, 2010 to celebrate the opening of Maserati Sydney, Australia’s newest dealer for the legendary Italian car maker.

Nearing completion at the junction of Bourke and Elizabeth Streets in Waterloo, Ferrari Maserati Sydney will set a new standard for car dealerships in Australia, from its stunning architecture to its advanced workshops and new levels of customer service.

The Maserati GranCabrio, already acclaimed as setting a new benchmark for luxurious performance motoring, will be the automotive guest of honour for the official opening, prior to deliveries starting in the middle of 2010.

“Our standard for Maserati in Sydney is quite simple – to build a car dealership that can stand comparison with any car dealership in the world,” explains Mr Edward Butler, General Manager for Maserati in Australia and New Zealand.

“Therefore no expense has been spared to ensure that Maserati customers will be able to enjoy a facility that exceeds expectations in every area and which provides a unique experience.

“We are honoured that Maserati are dispatching their newest model, a car yet to be seen outside the confines of two motor shows, to be our guest of honour at the official opening on 3 February at what I am sure will be an evening to remember!”

As long as they have the new GranCabrio in the front window for motorists to look at when they drive by everyday, all will be well.

I’ve had the pleasure of being a passenger in one of the hard top versions of these a couple of years back. Awesome car but I don’t see $240,000 in it. Not when a subaru sti will keep up with it (almost).

“IF” I was exceptionally well off and in that market it would be the Aston Martin for me. I might even let Lara Bingle drive it ;)
