Ford Territory Diesel field testing spy photos

After revealing exclusive photos and details of the diesel powered Ford Territory in July, Pavle.com.au photographers have spied Ford conducting field evaluation testing of the diesel Ford Territory ahead of its 2010 release.

The trailer attached to the prototype spotted is designed to produce a simulated load, similar to what the car would experience while towing a large caravan against a head wind. The process tests the vehicle's ability to cope with continuous load over long distances, stress testing the engine's internal components along with the turbocharger.

The sticker attached to the steering wheel also suggests that Ford is yet to calibrate the Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) and Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) system. Due to the weight difference, weight distribution difference and centre of gravity change, brand new calibrations are required to interact with the new package.

We will reveal more information as it comes to hand. Photos provided by Pavle.com.au.
