This post is probably dead but anyway:
Drove the diesel yesterday and straight after the BMW 320d for comparison. Apart from the sense of apparent speed I thought the CC was far superior, which was a suprise considering I held the Beemer as the benchmark. Both were clattery but the BMW more so. I also liked the adaptive suspension setup. One cause of concern was a bit of vibration through the wheel which I am paranoid about (having owned a SAAB 93 that shook like a wet dog). Any long term opinions of the drive/steering quality over time?

I have owned the passat cc v6 all wheel drive
for 3 weeks now with every option listed
I have owned many different cars before from high end prestige to average cars and I must admit this car is an exellent package
The ride simply adjusts from sport to comfort
DSG Gearbox faster changing than any auto in the world
BMW 3 series is just African built rubbish
That does not even come close
The passat cc is built in Germany in a state of the art factory
As for 0-100kms 5.3sec is obtained by using launch control a technique which is required in a DSG equipped vehicle to obtain quicker times.
As far as standard features that come with the car do the math and you will see why this car comes out on top.
Quality is of a high standard
As far as vibrations at high speed in the demo car you where driving may have been mistreated and needed a wheel balance/alingment
This car does drive very smooth.
This car in my opinion performs better in real life
Than on paper
A 5th seat is now optional for those who need it but I prefer the the 4 seater because of extra compartment and cup holders in middle seat

my G6E currently runs 396 flywheel kW and 807Nm of torque. 4 kW shy away from 400! DAMN!
The car was tuned by @#$#@@#### @#@#%$R%$ and i am enjoying everything about it.

I have also upgraded it to FPV 6 spot front calipers, 4 spot rears , its lowered.
I have tested it and it does 0-400m in 10.6s 0-100km/h in 3.8s flat. You just have to be happy with 341rwkW for under $50000 including the tuning! and i mean just the ECU tune and 3psi increase in BOOST, with stock turbo/inter cooler/engine!

the only people who say front wheel drive is rubbish is the ones that cant drive them.

afterall, ANYONE can drive rwd well.... you need to be a GOOD DRIVER to appreciate a fwd.

i adore being able to point my wheels in the direction i want, and using the power to drag me out of the corner and leaving the rwd dorrifto kids sliding around behind me.

lol @ those who diss what they dont understand

you're kidding, right? Are you a salesman or something, worried that the comments might cruel a sale or two? Look, I loved the car on paper. I drove it, and it didnt impress me. It impressed my wife less. Trade ins didnt come into it at all, it. Price didnt come into it - I didnt get past the test drive. I'm tired of this - I've responded to some pretty insulting posts with a straight bat and I'm not going to be baited into responding any further - if someone drives this car and likes it, good on them. I drove it and didnt, I thought it was very average, and no puerile attempt at cross examination or justification on your part isnt going to change that.

Peter, I think your totally wrong. You must have been burnt by the trade in value on your current car and it has clearly upset you. JOHN MANTELLO, a man that has trained myself, owns many dealerships and is not short on cash Bought, Drives and LOVES a Passat CC TDI......
AS a very lucky man, I have driven most the vehicles you have spoken about and without doubt the CC Measures up perfectly for half the price. It wouldn't have won best luxury vehicle in Australia if it wasn't any good.
I suggest, when you purchase your next vehicle, Do not buy Jaguar, Saab or Volvo unless you want to be stung by trade in value down the track.
Basically, stop rubbishing a Car just because you couldn't afford it!!!!

$120K cars - try BMW 335 (only 2 doors), Jag XF (not as quick, much better inside and out, far better badge), Audi s5, A6. For similar price, Volvo s40T5 (in fact, 10K cheaper) probably better badge but looks not so good and not as quick, interior nicer, has 5 seats. CC did handle (corner) fine, roundabouts fine, but the steering was strange, and then it wobbled on the road at 100kph in a straight line. And no, I never got to the haggling stage, we didnt like it, and wouldnt buy something we didnt like even if it was cheap. I could have got a demo for $65K from NSW, and was happy enough with the $75K or thereabouts price for new when I was looking at them coz it seemed like a bargain. Obviously plenty of people like them. I wish we had liked it, because as I say, on paper they are a great car and I would have bought it in a snap if it had grabbed us.
