You might recall last week that US-based Kepler Motors announced a hybrid supercar called ‘Motion’ it plans to unveil at the Dubai Motor Show.

Seemingly unable to contain its own excitement, Kepler have today released an animated teaser video of the Motion – just to wet our appetites.

The Ford V6 / electric powered Motion develops 596kW all told and is capable of accelerating from rest to 100km/h in under 2.5 seconds. Enjoy!

Looks pretty good and the performance figures are astonishing, but what is the strange connection between low-volume sports cars and supercars and Ford V6s? I can count five of the top of my head! Are the power figures from Ford V6s so much better than any other brand’s V6, or a turbo 4cyl? Also what is the capacity of said V6?

Was thinking the same thing. I recall the displacement being 3.5l in this guise, but I’d imagine it could differ depending on application by altering the stroke?

Looks a lot like the Ferrari FXX from the front. I wonder if that’s what its six really sounds like.

Given that Toyota are the “innovators” of Hybrid Technology – then isn’t this the Type of Supercar they should have built instead of the LF-A…?

For a start it’s got better looks and its got more power
