German powerhouse Mercedes-Benz is hard at work on a new S-CLass Coupe based on the CL.
Mercedes will add LED daytime headlights and possibly LED taillamps too. A newly designed front bumper looks possible from these photos and it will no doubt put on a more aggressive look in AMG flavour than on the standard S-Class Coupe.
The grill isn’t as slanted as on the current CL and will now come split with a single chrome bar across it, giving more prominence to the Mercedes badge sitting in the middle.
In other news AMG is also promising more power and less consumption for the C-Class Coupe 63 AMG from its new slew of engines. It aims to achieve these results by focusing on better engine management as well as reducing consumption by lightening the weight of the car through the greater use of composite materials.
