Honda NeuV concept previewed ahead of CES 2017 debut

The Honda NeuV concept car has been previewed ahead of its full debut at CES in January 2017.

With its boxy shape and compact dimensions, the NeuV looks like a concept car that would normally make its debut at the Tokyo motor show.

The NeuV is equipped with an artificial intelligence system, dubbed Emotion Engine, by Cocoro SB Corp. According to Honda, the Emotion Engine "creates new possibilities for human interaction and new value for customer".

As for the NeuV's drivetrain, all we know is that it's an electric vehicle.

Honda says that in addition to unveiling the NeuV concept at CES 2017, it will announce a bunch of collaborations with startups and global brands as part of its “Cooperative Mobility Ecosystem”.

This new ecosystem aims to harness the "power of artificial intelligence, robotics, and big data to transform the mobility experience".

The company will also showcase "new modes of in-car connectivity" and systems that it hopes will reduce congestion, meaning that the Japanese car maker will likely flesh out its autonomous driving plans.
