Audi TT 2007 Diesel

I could only imagine the smiles on the Audi managers faces when Audi won Le Mans with the Diesel Powered R-10, and then raced the R-10 against a Harrier Jet fighter for 1km and lost in the last dying seconds, sure they lost, but here we have a Diesel powered car taking on a Jet Fighter, things are definitely changing!

And so with the continuing success of Diesel around the world and the growing credibility of Diesel powered cars, Audi has been suggesting that the new Audi TT will be offered with a Diesel engine! I have previously wrote about the new Audi TT if you want to check it out. There is also an article here about the making of the Audi TT.

However what really makes me wonder is how the Audi TT is going to work with a Diesel engine, I mean, its a small car! what sort of Diesel engine are they going to fit in there? The only one that comes to mind is the 2.0L four-cylinder diesel engine from the VolksWagen Passat (and Golf) which produces 170 hp. Nothing has so far been officially confirmed by Audi but things are looking promising for the Diesel fans.
An Audi TT powered by Diesel? I can't wait to see that!
