With the eagerly awaited four-door Rapide going through its final stages of engineering and testing before its launch in early 2010, Aston Martin has now confirmed Australian pricing for its newest sports car.
The Rapide will start from A$366,280.00 (plus on-road and dealer delivery costs) in Australia and is now available to order from the Aston Martin dealership network around the world.
Aston Martin expects to hand-build around 2000 Rapides in the first year at its new 17,000 m2 building Rapide Plant in Graz, Austria.
Each Rapide will take approximately 220 man hours to build, shown the same level of attention to detail and quality as those manufactured at the Gaydon plant.
The Rapide is expected to attract a high proportion of new customers to the brand in the first year with ample accommodation for up to four adults and a spacious boot making it a more practical indulgence.

100k over the direct conversion rate from the uk
Correct, but remember the conversion rate changes, the price may do the same when the pound strengthens against the Dollar, but that would simply push the price up.
no just remember that Australian’s pay a highly over inflated price for all cars, luxury or not. Due to greedy tax’s and levy’s.
Prime example Holden’s that are produced in Australia selling at a much lower RRP in America. It’s a slap in the face.
nice but still would buy F430 over this…
different car……
Mitch is right, no conversion rate accounts for a 100k rip off.
However, AM can charge what ever they want as long as they believe that people will pay for it. No doubt there are people out there who will.
This is a vanity or luxury good which appeals to those for who money is no object. As there are plenty of cheaper alternatives
I think you’ll find alarge protion of that 100k goes to the govenrment in Import taxes etc.
“The Rapide will start from A$366,280.00 (plus on-road and dealer delivery costs) in Australia and is now available to order from the Aston Martin dealership network around the world”
Nope, 100k premium is EXCLUDING on-road costs.
I said Import taxes etc, on roads and dealer delivery are not Import taxes last I checked
