Mitsubishi Evolution X Japanese Brochure

The internet is a wonderful thing, within hours of scanning and uploading the Mitsubishi Evolution X brochure, a user of the Lancer Register forums made worldwide news with loads of new details and specifications about the upcoming Evo X.

Of course, it's not all good news, the Brochure is in Japanese, nonetheless we have put one and two together and have figured out a little bit from the 14 page doco.

From what we can gather, the LED headlights and integrated fog lamps have been lost from the concept, at the same time the new Lancer GSR will gain new side vents and mirrors.

From the inside, the Evo X looks a lot cheaper than we'd previously seen, obviously the bean counters have had their way with it. Although it's good to see that Mitsubishi's version of the DSG gearbox (dual-clutch) has made it all the way through to production.

You can see the Evo X paddle shifters as well as a main central LCD to display all the cars information. Power is also a little disappointing at just 206 kW (6,500 RPM) although torque comes in at a healthy 422Nm from 3,500 RPM.

Of course these are Japanese figures, and there is every reason to expect they will rise slightly before the rally champion arrives in Australia early next year.

The image above shows the different technologies in the Evo X keeping the car on the desired path.

  • ASC (Active Stability Control),
  • ACD (Active Center Differential),
  • AYC (Active Yaw Control)
  • Sport ABS (Sport Antilock Brake System).

You can read more about the latest technologies used in the Evo here.
