Woody, have you ever driven an EVO? Have you? Drive one then tell me if there’s no engineering that has come to fruition. Does the name Makinen ring a bell?
I have driven some of the fastest Subys where I come from, including the new STI, in controlled conditions on a closed track. My 1998 EVO5 was consistently 5 seconds faster than the 2007 300BHP rated STI and my EVO5 only has a better intake and exhaust plus an ECU reflash to adjust the fuel/air mix and my model doesn’t even have traction control! So what the **** are you saying?!! BTW my son’s 1977 volkswagen beetle has a boxer motor too.

I agree Steve, poor old woody forgot his medication and makes no sense whatsoever.

Suby will need to pull a rabbit out of a hat if it is to challenge the EVO X in retail sales.

This production version is almost identical to the Concept car plus all the bell’s and whistles are included.

the new evo won’t be sold in batches like it has been previously, it will be a full production model for mitsubishi australia

Why is it that the most modern fashion at Mitsubishi Motors is to tease the public with great concepts but very rarely ever bring them to fruition.

In recent times, Mitsubishi has put forward many ideas but most of them have been nothing more then just that. I guess ‘dreaming’ and ‘engineering’ have completely differant financial consequences.

Mitsubishi is nothing more then just a dreamy outfit at the very best.

I’m thinking the first batch is gonna be sold out pretty quickly, especially with many Suby owners crossing the floor for this beast.

That dashboard looks like it’s mostly borrowed from the Outlander. I just hope that they haven’t used the same cheap-feeling interior trim as the Outlander.
