Ford forums are rife with rumour this week that FPV are to release a limited edition ‘Cobra GT Falcon’ to commemorate the 30th Anniversary of Allan Moffat and Colin Bond’s historic 1977 form-finish at Bathurst.

To be unofficially unveiled at this year’s Bathurst, the 302kW Boss V8 powered sedan will see it’s official release at Sydney’s International Motor Show. There is also speculation that a ute variant will follow, perhaps based on the Super Pursuit.

Like the GT 40th Anniversary model, they are only to be available in one colour, obviously white with blue stripes, and will be limited to a run of 250 units. The bonnet decal will read ‘Boss 302’ but all other specs are to be the same as the 40th Anniversary model. Pricing is said to be $71,500.

Some dealers are said to be taking orders but Ford remains tight lipped. As always, we’ll keep you posted.
