The Land Wind E33 concept has been spied ahead of its debut at the Guangzhou motor show this week, and it looks somewhat original – almost.

Unlike the controversial company’s earlier model, the X7, which was basically a carbon copy of the Range Rover Evoque, the E33 is far more original – though its design is still ‘inspired’ by other cars already on sale.

There are elements of the Infiniti QX30 up front, notably the long front section along with the bulges and creases of the bonnet.

Meanwhile the rising shoulder line and shape of the C-pillar is pretty similar to the QX30’s twin-under-the-skin, the Mercedes-Benz GLA.

Something worth noting is the little ‘flicks’ at the rear of the roof rails which are almost like little spoilers.

No images have been snapped of the interior yet, however, so it’s unknown how creative the company’s designers have been with the look of the cabin.

CarNewsChina.com reports the E33 will go on display at the Guangzhou motor show, which starts this week. And while it looks production-ready, this is a concept that previews the car that will go on sale in China early next year.

According to the report, the Land Wind E33 will be powered by a 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol sourced from Mitsubishi, producing 150hp (112kW) of power and 210Nm of torque.

Shifting gears will be the option of a six-speed manual or continuously-variable transmission (CVT).

Pricing will kick off around 90,000 yuan ($17,656) and top out at about 130,000 yuan ($25,503).
