Chrysler Australia sees strong November sales

Chrysler Australia delivered 875 vehicles last month (November), an increase of 46 per cent when compared to the same period in 2008.

Stand out performers include Chrysler 300C, PT Cruiser and Grand Voyager, Jeep Cherokee, Patriot, Wrangler, plus Dodge Journey and Nitro models, all reporting year-on-year sales increases.

“The November results are a clear indication that Australians continue to have a strong appetite for our vehicles,” said managing director of Chrysler Australia, Mr Gerry Jenkins. “Wrangler is consistently our best seller and last month was no different. We’re expecting Patriot to close the gap as more stock arrives into our dealers over the coming weeks.”

    Wow so they had 1% market share last month. That’s still way down on their 1997 (peak) market share of 1.4%. In fact they have never reached their 1997 levels since.

      last time i checked Chrysler was in bankruptcy and shut down production for sometime, bottom line ya can’t sell what you don’t have oh and the fact that the worlds economies were on a total meltdown didn’t help.

    Yep 46% increase in registrations, as opposed to a 54% decrease in dealership profit margins….. What’s going to happen when Sergio has his way and Chrysler / Dodge / Ram are formed and are US Domestic market only??? He is on Record as saying Jeep will be the only Export vehicle under the new Fiat Chrysler amalgamation…. take the Jeeps out and you will have about 600 orphans………

      Da, this just inn, Chsysler is slated to replace Lancia in europe and the south pacific region and i guess AUSTRALIA, it called, information do your perants let you read the papers?

        Incorrect-Lancia will continue to be sold across Europe whilst Chrysler will be withdrawn from that market.

        Also Lancia hasnt been sold in Australia since the late 70′S.

    just collected new sebring cabrio 2 days ago. broke down on busy freeway at night. power just lost suddenly. what a crap! so much for luixury car!
    Anybody experience that. 20yrs driving, owned 8 cars before, this is the first time happen just 2 days after collecting car arrrghhhhhhhh! Distributor not helpful at all. anybody out there had same experience. what should i do?
