As the Fiat-Chrysler merger begins to set, it would be a reasonable assumption that Dodge would have access to the Ferrari parts bin, but unfortunately there will be no such luck. In fact the only thing Dodge will be importing from Ferrari is advice.
Dodge brand chief Mr Ralph Gilles alluded to a possible engineering partnership while introducing the brand’s Viper ACR model recently:
“When we have partners across the ocean who are known as the best sports-car makers in the world, the future opportunities are huge,” said Mr Gilles.
This week Mr Gilles clarified his statement in a media interview:
“We just want some advice,” said Mr Gilles, “Ferrari is Ferrari, Viper is Viper.”
