Top 5 Sports cars in Australia

Out of the top 5 cars which I have decided to include in this list, 3 are Turbo charged, one is a Rotary and the other is naturally aspirated. Turbo charged cars used to attract a great deal of negative coverage, from the whole "cheap performance" comments coming in from the V8 crowd (showing a good deal of ignorance towards the mostly Japanese Turbo Cars), to the idea that Turbo Charged engines wouldn't last past 100,000kms, a great deal has changed in the last 10 or so years.

The European's have brought us more and more turbo charged cars (not just in Diesel) as even BMW has realized that Turbo powered cars are here to stay and are releasing their first Turbo charged 3 series (the BMW 335i) very soon. While in the mean time, Japanese car manufacturers have captured the minds and hearts of many car fans by continuing to produce more and more turbo charged cars.

Nonetheless, a sports car doesn't have to be turbo (or super) charged to be good, there is a lot more to a sports car than straight line speed. The driving dynamics, the handling, the equipment level and not to mention the sex appeal and looks are also very important. I am a big Subaru fan, I am sure you have realized it by now, Subary are safe, Subaru are reliable, and Subaru are bloody fast! You know I am sure you are wondering how the heck this car made it to this list, I mean all the other cars come from Japan and you might have picked up by now that I am not Ford or Holden's biggest fan when it comes to performance cars.
