A few facts about diesels.

1. You cannot gas yourself with a diesel like you can with a petrol motor.
2. Diesel in a car is pointless, there is no real benefit in either fuel consumption or costs, leave the diesel for real 4wd's and trucks.

Now I love my V8's both in petrol and the diesel, but it can only be petrol in a car.

pretty sure NOx's aren't even implicated in cancer... i think cancer is more to do with aromatic hydrocarbons... going to be produced if combustion is not complete, probably more likely in diesel engines

That car will be one sweet ride, but why do all the holden fans come onto these websites?? is it because they are that jealous that ford has decided to go up a step and drop in a supercharger on a better engine. And every one thinks (holden fans) that the fg is over styled, i mean look at holdens hsv, it is extremely over styled, absolutely everything is over styled. so here coming from a ford fan, we dont want to hear your crap, holden fans, go to some other site which cares..

everyone is entitled to their own opinion but your opinion seems to be on the wrong side. Unless you can prove it with some statistics, expect to get some negative feedback from here.

here are some funny things

5.4L Barra 220 V8 making 220kW at 4750rpm and 472Nm from 3250-4000rpm 4 speed auto

5.4L Boss 315 V8 making 315kW at 6500rpm and 551Nm at 4750rpm 6 speed auto

when both doing a roll start from 60-120km/h the 5.4L 3V Barra 220 with just 220kW keeps up right next to it on the way to 120km/h and some 5 or 6 seconds after 120km/h till the BOSS 315 reaches 180 and finally displaces itself some 3-5 car lengths away.

Can somebody explain this to me?

there is 95kW difference and 69Nm difference between the two.

The 5.0L Coyote will make 307kW and around 530Nm , torque available across the entire RPM range, even more responsive than any V8 so far.

Some say that it might make 298kW and 490Nm when optioned for standard XT with 6 speed auto.

Others say it will be upped up a little to 307kW for XR8 while GT-P will be renamed to GT-HO and will be a supercharged version at 375kW others say a single Turbo 414kW and some other people said TWIN-TURBO 5.0L V8.

?

anybody any ideas?

please post some.

thanks
