Tesla Motors to file an IPO
November 23, 2009 by Alborz Fallah
Electric sports car manufacturer Tesla Motors is expected to file an IPO (initial public stock offering) within days.
The move would provide the six-year-old Silicon Valley-based company with capital to invest and expand in the future, hoping to attract attention from those enthusiastic about green technology.
Tesla is most well-known for its two-seater Roadster – the first production car powered by a lithium-ion battery, with a range of more than 320 kilometres.
A spokesman for Tesla, Ricardo Reyes, refused to comment on the possible IPO, calling the suggestion nothing more than “rumour and speculation”.

I think the brand will have a future, as it is was the first truly exciting all electric sportscar. This will stick in buyers minds in the future.
P.S: Shouldn’t it be IPSO?
