Mitsubishi Australia has enlisted the services of visual effects studio, Resin, to create an entirely computer-generated television advertisement for the Lancer Evolution X.
Taking the science fiction mood of “Bladerunner” as inspiration, the Adelaide-based design, 3D and animation studio were able to conjure a dark, neon city as the Evolution’s playground.
MMAL’s Vice President of Brand Management, Paul Unerkov is pleased with the outcome of this exciting marketing endeavour.
“The Mitsubishi team and Resin have combined our ideas and efforts to come up with something really special here. To be able to recreate this stunning vehicle with such technical accuracy, and to simulate the movements and abilities of this high performance vehicle, all in CGI, is incredible,” said Mr Unerkov.
Powered by a turbocharged 2.0-litre DOHC engine generating 217kW and 336Nm, coupled with a super all wheel control system, the advertisement aptly describes the Evolution as physics defying.

Well it is prety darned good.
i want one !!
Does the Evo have the same clear tail lights as the VRX and Aspire? It would look a lot better if it did.
US is such a bigger market than AU, and yet, Mitsubishi of North America does not have half the drive to push their product that the Aussies do. what a shame. No wonder Mitsubishi is considered a cheapo brand in the US. It was never that in India or Australia (I was in Melbourne for 2 years).
