Badass -
Yep that's right. Also, cars over there don't have to have orange-coloured rear indicators (so they're left red, unable to be distinguished from either the on or brake functions) and car mirrors don't have to fold in (manually) so that's why Mustangs are so cheap, Ford US saves money everywhere! No fold-in function means they could really cost alot to repair and could be dangerous to passing cyclists (if a car boxes them near another car). All this from the land of OH and S! Pathetic eh?

Is it part of American vehicle regulations that their cars have to have clearly visible, bright orange indicators in the headlights? I've noticed many American versions of cars we have here have this featured in them.

Seems like a good system. There are a lot of these car borrowing schemes opening up in cities, but this one seems to be the least flawed. There is just one small problem that I see. I like the idea of people just seeing the car and deciding to go somewhere, but doesn't that mean they're doing trips that they weren't planning and possibly didn't really need to do? In other words, using up fuel and sendng out emissions that they may have just not used in the first place if not for the cars?
